Rest That Only Christ Can Give.

We read the word’s that Jesus spoke in Matthew 11:28-30, when He said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take on my yoke and learn of me, for I am meek and humble in heart: and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”.

This is a promise and it’s not just rest in the sense of sleep or physical rest, but rest in your mind; rest in your soul. A rest and peace that can only come from the Lord, Christ Jesus. He is meek and will be gentle with you as He deals with whatever it is you are facing. He is humble in heart and understands the things you’re going through, for we read in Hebrews 4, that Christ is our Great High Priest who has been touched by all we face, yet did not sin. Through Him, we can come to the throne room of grace boldly, and find grace and obtain mercy that helps us in our time of need.

Are you tired? Is the burden that weighs upon you heavy and feels as if it is crushing you? Then come to Christ, for in Him you can find the rest you so desperately seek. Learn of who He is and take on His yoke, for His yoke is not heavy and He enters that yoke with you and pulls the load you can not. His burden is light and He understands all you go through. Christ can give you rest that will indeed revive your weary soul.
